These battery cells are suitable for all traction applications, including electric vehicles. They are also suitable for stationary applications, such as energy storage. No self-discharge occurs. They can be charged at any state of discharge with no memory effect. LiFePO4 is a very safe technology, with no self-ignition and no reaction with moisture or oxygen. All cells are supplied new directly from the manufacturer. The original wooden crate contains 18 cells, with dimensions 647 × 458 × 360 mm and a weight of 63 kg.

An important part of each battery module is balancing and protection electronics. The most common solution is BMS123 Smart BMS123. This advanced solution for monitoring and managing LiFePO4 batteries supports Bluetooth connectivity to a phone, iPad, tablet, or other devices. It comes with a free app for Android and iOS.

Winston manufactures cells with an easily assembled square shape; terminals are made on screws allowing easy installation using a wrench. An important part of each battery module is the connection between cells. Original copper connectors are made of several thin layers, ensuring ideal flexibility and conductivity. Before installation, don't forget to clean the terminals and connectors from oxidation (with emery or similar paper). Oxidized contacts can have very high resistance and cause battery imbalance. A cheap solution is plastic covers that prevent unwanted short circuits and make it easier to mark plus and minus (available in red and black).
