The TAP400 access point offers top-tier Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) standard performance with transfer speeds up to 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz and 576 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. Equipped with a dual-core Mediatek processor running at 1.3 GHz and 512 MB DDR3 RAM, it can simultaneously handle up to 512 connected devices. MU-MIMO technology ensures optimal efficiency when communicating with multiple clients at once.

The device features a 2.5GbE port for maximum data throughput and power supply via PoE 802.3af. Thanks to support for Fast Roaming (802.11r), BSS Transition Management (802.11v), and Radio Resource Measurement (802.11k), it enables seamless switching between access points. The Wireless Mesh (802.11s) feature simplifies coverage expansion without the need for cabling.

Centralized Management and Monitoring
The access point can be fully managed via the Teltonika RMS platform, which enables remote configuration, real-time monitoring, firmware management (FOTA), and network topology visualization. Hotspot 2.0 support simplifies automatic connection to trusted Wi-Fi networks.

Advanced Network Features
The device supports a wide range of protocols including TCP, UDP, ICMP, GRE, ESP, RIP, OSPF, BGP, IPsec, IPv4, IPv6. Also available are DNS over HTTPS for secure DNS queries, VLAN separation, 802.1x authentication, and the ability to send data to a server via HTTP(S), MQTT, or Azure MQTT.

Flexible Deployment
The RutOS operating system based on OpenWrt Linux allows custom firmware modifications and supports programming in Busybox shell, Lua, C, and C++. The access point is equipped with 16 MB SPI NOR Flash memory and 512MB SPI NAND Flash storage for reliable operation.
