These battery cells are suitable for all traction applications, including electric vehicles. They are also well-suited for stationary applications, such as energy storage.
There is no self-discharge.
They can be charged in any state of discharge - no memory effect.
LiFePO4 is a very safe technology, with no risk of self-ignition, and it does not react with moisture or oxygen.
All cells are supplied new directly from the manufacturer.
The original wooden crate contains 6 cells, with dimensions of 543 × 509 × 425 mm and a weight of 90 kg.

Balancing and Protective Electronics
An important part of every battery module is the balancing and protective electronics. The most common solution is the BMS123 Smart BMS123. This advanced solution for monitoring and managing LiFePO4 batteries supports Bluetooth connection to a phone, iPad, tablet, or other device. It includes a free app for Android and iOS.

SBM is a simple solution offering basic protection, the scheme depicts the version with 16 cells connected to a charger and fuses.

Cell Connections
Winston manufactures cells with an easily assembleable square shape, and the terminals are made with screws, allowing easy installation with a wrench.
An important part of every battery module is the interconnection between cells. The original copper connectors are made from several thin layers, ensuring ideal elasticity and conductivity.
Before assembly, don't forget to clean the terminals and connectors from oxidation (using sandpaper or a similar material). Oxidized contacts can have very high resistance and cause battery imbalance.
A budget-friendly solution is plastic covers that prevent unwanted short circuits and make it easier to label the positive and negative terminals (available in red and black).
Winston Battery Tests
A series of destructive tests of lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) cells from ThunderSky Winston demonstrate how the cells behave in case of being punctured with a fire axe or intentional short-circuiting with a current of up to 1600 A (400 C).
You can watch 4 tests (puncture, overcharge, short circuit, ignition from an external source).
Result: LiFePO4 cells are extremely resistant to physical abuse and do not pose a danger to their surroundings even in the case of a short circuit.
