This relay is designed for monitoring the supply voltage of devices that are sensitive to power supply tolerances.

The voltage monitoring relay HRN-63 is used to monitor voltage levels in single-phase circuits in the range of AC 48–276 V. The monitored voltage is also the supply voltage for the device. Two independent voltage levels can be set on the relay. When Umax is exceeded, the output is activated. When Umin is undershot, the output is deactivated. This combination of output relay connection is advantageous where a complete loss of the supply (monitored) voltage is considered a fault condition, as well as voltage drops within the set level. To eliminate short-term spikes in the network, a time delay can be smoothly adjusted in the range of 0–10 s. It is applied when transitioning from an overvoltage state to an undervoltage state. The delay is not applied when returning from an undervoltage state to an overvoltage state. With switching output contacts, additional configurations and functions can be achieved according to current requirements or specific applications.
