High-performance Wi-Fi 6 router with triple-chain 5GHz radio for gigabit speeds.
The new hAP ax S represents MikroTik's most efficient Wi-Fi 6 access point with an exceptional price-to-performance ratio. Thanks to its triple-chain 5GHz radio, it achieves real speeds of 800–900 Mbps, ensuring smooth streaming, fast downloads, and stable performance even when multiple devices are connected simultaneously.
Beneath the elegant aluminum enclosure lies a dual-core ARM EN7562CT processor running at 950 MHz, 512 MB DDR3 RAM, and 128 MB NAND storage. The router offers five Gigabit Ethernet ports and a 2.5G SFP port for direct optical internet connection or high-speed NAS storage.

RouterOS v7 – full control without limits
Unlike common routers, the hAP ax S offers a complete version of RouterOS v7 without subscriptions or locked features. It supports advanced networking capabilities such as VLANs, firewall, VPN tunnels, traffic shaping, or automation via SMS. You can easily isolate IoT devices into separate subnets for enhanced security.
Flexible power and connectivity
The router supports power input via DC jack (12–28 V) or PoE-in (18–28 V) and can power another MikroTik device through passive PoE-out on the Ether5 port. The USB port allows connecting external storage or a 4G modem.
Optimized for VR gaming
Thanks to its triple-chain 5GHz radio, the hAP ax S is ideal as a dedicated Wi-Fi 6 access point for PC VR headsets, providing higher resolution and lower latency without cables while maintaining full RouterOS v7 flexibility.
