Backup 12V, 20Ah lead-acid battery in VRLA (AGM) design, suitable for applications without frequent cycling, providing a reliable backup power source.

This construction features valve-regulated internal pressure control (VRLA – valve regulated lead acid = valve-regulated lead-acid batteries). The advantages of this design, together with AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat – the battery contains liquid electrolyte, which is absorbed into fiberglass microfibers, also known as glass wool, keeping it firmly bound within the cells and practically preventing leakage), include:

  • higher maximum discharge currents
  • completely maintenance-free (no need for water refilling)
  • longer lifespan
  • shock-resistant
  • leakproof – sealed – non-spillable
  • connector type: L1

Goowei OT series batteries offer an optimal service life of 4–6 years and are primarily designed for the following applications:

  • uninterruptible power supplies (UPS)
  • electronic fire protection systems (EPS)
  • electronic security systems (EZS)
  • telecommunication equipment
  • emergency lighting
  • backup power for circulation pumps and boilers

Cyclic durability depending on depth of discharge

Battery maintenance

To achieve optimal service life for batteries used in frequent cyclic operation, it is necessary to observe the maximum permitted depth of discharge of 80% D.O.D. as specified by standard ČSN EN 61044.
For long-term battery storage, periodic recharging must be ensured. At a storage temperature of 25 °C, recharge every 6 months; if the temperature is higher, recharge more frequently.
Operating temperature range: charging -15 °C to 40 °C, discharging -15 °C to 50 °C, storage -10 °C to 40 °C. Prolonged exposure to temperature extremes reduces battery life.
