Measurement and control board for dealing with limit states on battery cells
The module for protection of individual LiFePO4 battery cells against overcharging and undercharging. One board is used for 24 V system, i.e. 8 cells (cannot be connected less cells). Modules can be daisy chained for higher voltage systems (multiples of 24 V). The module is characterized by simplicity, durability and reliability of electrical design (without software)
- Durable design with fault condition protection, LED signalling
- When Umin 2.65 V of any battery cell is reached, the Umin relay switches Umin
- When Umax 3.93 V of any battery cell is reached, the Umax relay switches
- On return from both limit values to 3.40 V the relays return to the operating state
Possibilities of use
- Basic protection for simple systems (backup power, caravans, huts...)
- Duplicate (backup) protection for advanced BMS systems
- Duplicate warning system for control systems
- Meets the condition of automatic shutdown on failure without software elements
- For higher voltage systems, the boards can be connected to each of the other 8 cells in series and the relays of the individual modules connected for the final output
