Product details Victron BP-100 Battery Protect (48V)

The BatteryProtect battery protection disconnects the battery from non-essential loads before it is completely discharged (which would cause its destruction) or while it still has enough capacity to start the engine.

Simple programmable
The BatteryProtect can be set to connect/disconnect at several different voltage levels.
The display, divided into seven segments, shows which setting has been selected.

Special settings for Li-ion batteries
In this mode, the BatteryProtect protection can be controlled via the VE.Bus BMS interface.

Very low energy consumption
Low consumption is very important for Li-ion batteries, especially after shutdown at low voltage. For more information, please refer to the technical data for Li-ion batteries and the VE.Bus BMS interface user manual.

Overvoltage protection
In case of overvoltage with possible damage to sensitive devices, the devices are disconnected if the DC voltage exceeds 64 V.

Spark-resistant
It does not work with relay elements, but with MOSFET transistor switches, so sparking does not occur.

Delayed alarm output
The alarm output is activated if the battery voltage drops below the set value for more than 12 seconds. Therefore, starting the engine does not activate the alarm. The alarm output is an open collector output to the negative bus, max. current 500 mA. This alarm output is typically connected to a buzzer or to visual signaling.

Delayed load disconnection
The load is disconnected 90 seconds after the alarm is triggered. If during this time the battery voltage rises to the "connection threshold value" (e.g. during engine starting), the load will not be disconnected.

BatteryProtect battery protection is unidirectional, meaning current can only flow from the "in" input to the "out" output. Reverse current flowing from the "out" output to the "in" input is not allowed and will damage the device.
