A highly accurate battery monitoring system. Monitoring the battery status helps achieve longer lifespan. Detailed battery monitoring allows detection of potential operational deficiencies. Suitable for all types of lead-acid batteries including AGM and gel. Regular automatic calibration of the device ensures reliable measurement data (can also be done manually). The monitor is also suitable for Li-ion batteries.
- Simple setting of battery capacity (factory default is set to 200 Ah)

Basic displayed values:

- Estimated (sophisticatedly calculated) time duration in hours until 50% battery discharge at the given energy consumption

- Number of days since the last full battery charge

The monitor performs sophisticated tracking of delivered and consumed energy taking into account the adjustable Peukert exponent value (the higher the energy consumption, the relatively lower the amount of available energy in the battery and vice versa) and battery efficiency for estimating the current amount of energy (Ah) and battery charge rate (in percentage). To correctly display the amount of available energy in the battery, all energy entering and leaving the battery must pass through the shunt.
The monitor can be integrated into the wall without the need for rear access (concealed screws).
For higher currents exceeding 500 A, a replacement shunt designed for currents of 1000 and 2000 A can be supplied. The monitor can use shunts up to a maximum current of 9999 A with a voltage range of 1 - 100 mV (both adjustable).
The monitor features a relay. It is activated/deactivated based on the measured battery charge rate. The factory settings are set to switch on when the battery charge state drops below 50% and switch off when the battery charge state reaches 90%. These values can be changed in the settings. The relay logic can also be reversed, i.e., the relay is normally on, and it turns off under abnormal conditions. The relay can be used for switching on/off devices such as an external alarm, power station, etc.
The monitor can be connected to other devices. The BMV-700 monitor can be connected to the large color display Color Control GX with free graphical visualization option of measured values on the portal https://vrm.victronenergy.com/user/register (can be tested on functional systems with username: demo@victronenergy.com and password: vrmdemo). To connect the BMV-700 monitor to the Color Control GX display, you need to purchase either a VE.Direct cable or a VE.Direct-USB communication interface.
