These battery cells are suitable for all traction applications, including electric vehicles. They are also suitable for stationary applications, such as energy storage.
There is no self-discharge.

LiFePO4 is a very safe technology, no spontaneous ignition, and it does not react with moisture or oxygen.
All cells are supplied new directly from the manufacturer.

Balancing and protective electronics
An important part of any battery module is the balancing and protective electronics. The most common solution is the BMS123 Smart BMS123. This advanced solution for monitoring and managing LiFePO4 batteries supports Bluetooth connection to a phone, iPad, tablet, or other device. It includes a free app for Android and iOS.

SBM is a simple solution offering basic protection; the scheme captures the version with 16 cells connected to a charger and fuses.

Cell connections
Winston manufactures cells with easily assembled square shapes; the terminals are made on screws allowing easy installation using a wrench.
An important part of every battery module is the connection between cells. Original copper connectors are made from several thin layers, ensuring ideal flexibility and conductivity.
Before installation, remember to clean the terminals and connectors from oxidation (with emery or similar paper). Oxidized contacts can have very high resistance and cause battery imbalance.
Plastic covers are a cheap solution that prevents unwanted short circuits and makes it easier to mark plus and minus (available in red and black).
Winston Battery Tests
A series of destructive tests of lithium iron phosphate (LiFeYPO4) cells from ThunderSky Winston will help you understand how the cells behave in case of puncture with a fire axe or intentional short circuit with a current up to 1600 A (400 C).
You can view 4 tests (puncture, overcharge, short circuit, external ignition).
Result: LiFePO4 cells are extremely resistant to physical abuse and do not pose a danger to their surroundings even in case of a short circuit.
